ABOUT THE ARTIST
Maya began working in film during the summer of 2018 while studying at Virginia Commonwealth University. She interned, freelanced, and produced while continuing to work as a professional editor through the summer of 2020, when she graduated from VCUarts with a BFA in Film and Photography.
After her time at VCU, Maya worked in Los Angeles as a Lead Editor and Manager for 4 years at the boutique post production company J-Cut Films.
Since then, she has moved to Portland, Oregon to work in the visual effects industry. In her free time, she enjoys staying up to date on the latest editing trends, trying all types of food around the PDX area, and spending time with her partner and cats, Walter and Mr. Morton.
